The Advanced Guide To Item Upgrading
World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading
The upgrade of an item allows players to boost the gear score of an item to 700, and then add an additional perk. Items can be upgraded if they are in your inventory and you take them to the Kiln.
Certain items can be upgraded to benefit from their unique stats (like perfect broken point armour that is rolled for melee PvP) while others like weapons do not change significantly after an upgrade, so they aren't worth upgrading.
Weapons
Weapons can be upgraded to increase their numeric stats, such as crit chance, attack damage PvE and damage to PvP. Weapons come with a flat rate bonus that increases damage per second. A lot of weapons also come with a fixed bonus that is activated when three or more identical weapons are placed in a unit. This bonus can sometimes exceed the damage that an upgrade alone can cause.
The cost of upgrading a weapon is contingent on its rarity as well as its current level. For instance, an upgrade to a +2 weapon will require two standard Smithing Stones while a+3 requires four. The number of stones required to upgrade a weapon will continue increase until it is required to use the higher level of Smithing Stones, at which the amount will be reset to one.
Upgrading weapons will also reroll their base stats. This is usually a positive aspect, but it may also have negative consequences. Upgrades can make items impossible to use, unless you are extremely lucky.
It is possible to upgrade armor items to boost their stats. This can increase the defense base of a helm or chest while belts and gloves will boost their required strength and agility. Armor has a rerolling option for its Enhanced Defense%. This means that it is able to reduce its value.
The upgrade template of a weapon will display the new stats that it will gain upon upgrading along with the values of these stats. This means that the weapon will gain 3% attack damage if it is upgraded from an 8 attack damage sword to an 11 attack damage sword. However the 3% difference doesn't mean that it will be hit 3 times less often, since it is an absolute statistic.
Rerolling a weapon is also possible by pressing the green button within the item menu using the arrows that are circling. The item will be rerolled and alter its stats, however, it will not reset the weapon's level or tie it to the account status.
Armor
A few upgrades to your armor can make a huge difference to your survivability. Certain sets offer massive increases in resistance to poison, curses fire, magic, and other. This can make it easier to get through difficult terrains. In general, the more defense you have for your character, the greater health you can receive from each point. Therefore, it's a good idea to upgrade your armor.
To improve your armor, head to any of the Great Fairy Fountains in the game. There are four Great Fairy Fountains within the game, and to unlock each one you have to complete a side quest that involves the Stable Trotters. Once you've completed the main quest and the associated fountains, you'll be able to talk to any Great Fairy in order to unlock the menu for upgrading armor.
The amount of materials required to upgrade each piece of armor will vary. In general, you're looking at anywhere between three Red Chuchu jellies and 10 Rupees for the initial upgrade, then anywhere between five Rubies and ten Fire-Breath Lizalfos Horns for each subsequent upgrade. The Champion Leathers, as an example, can be upgraded to a +5 defense rating, which allows you to remain competitive in frigid environments with a lot of adversaries. The Snowquill Headdress, on the other is able to be upgraded to +20 defense so that you can survive a raid with your friends.
It isn't possible to upgrade armor the same as weapons. If you're playing as a Warrior it is best to focus on upgrading your armor for physical strength or the power of spells. It's also worthwhile to save your armor upgrades for armor you'll wear at the end of the game, such as the Ring of Lightning and Spectral Shield, or the helmet you use for the final boss battle as well as the Monter Parts merchant's mask.
You can also get some perks for your armor by presenting the jeweler at Gerudo Town 10 Twinkling Titanite. Generally speaking, you'll want to keep these upgrades for the weapon you'll be using to win the game like the Longsword, Battleaxe or Warhammer however, it could be useful to have some improvements to the chest armor and helmets that let you stealthy battle some monsters.
Potions
Potions are liquids that, when consumed by the player, give the player with a temporary effect. There are five types of potions, each with different effects and durations. Certain potions can be upgraded to improve their level of effectiveness. You can also increase the effects of certain potions by adding glowstone dust and redstone.
Upgrades to your potion require a specific amount of XP. This can be earned through crafting them on a craft table or by storing them in the Alchemist chest. The upgrade price varies depending on the type of potion used and the item's rarity as well as Mark Level.
To upgrade a potion, click right on it in your inventory and choose the "Upgrade" option from the menu. This opens a GUI in which you can select the potions you want to upgrade and the amount of XP they'll give you when upgraded. You can upgrade potions in batches of up to five at a time, and their XP will be added to the total XP you have.
Once a potion is upgraded in quality, it will not deteriorate unless you use it again or break the bottle within which it is stored. Clicking on the potion in your inventory will allow you to rename it.
Version 1.7.2 introduced a few modifications to the way potions are used. Splash potions, for instance have now a duration of that is 0:08 instead of 22.5 seconds displayed on the item hover display. The table for potion is constructed from four Wood Planks, and two Glass. This allows it to be used by players playing Survival and Bedrock. Bedrock Edition potions are not compatible with cauldrons, unlike Java Edition. The same applies to using a potion in the cauldron that is filled. This will drain the liquid, and then refill the bottle.
Lastly, there are now lingering potions, which are made with splash and dragon breath potions. item upgrade to lingering potions, the effect can be extended by adding redstone to it. The potion table is now arranged more like the Java Edition, and new potions were added, such as the potion of leaping, the decomposition potion, and turtle master potions.
Trinkets
A trinket is a small and cheap ornament or piece of jewelry. It may also refer to a piece of art or a decoration that serves a purpose but isn't particularly significant such as a thimble. In some cultures, a trinket is used to show affection or friendship between family members.
In addition to armor, weapons and potions, players can upgrade their trinkets. These can be upgraded by visiting an upgrade vendor and paying the appropriate amount in currency. Trinkets, unlike other items which can be upgraded can be exchanged at any time without losing stats.
The upgrade vendors are found in major cities and in the capital of each zone, and in in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets are purchased with gold, tokens or fragments of a rare trinket.
Upgrades are a cost-effective alternative to buying a new trinket. One can upgrade a trinket with as little 12 tokens. The new trinket will have the same base ilvl as previous one, and will include an additional upgrade bonus of 1.
Trinkets can be re-upgraded once the old ones are no longer useful, allowing a player to boost their power and value over time. They can be traded among players, making them an alternative to gold.
Players must upgrade their most valuable items first. This means that the best-in slot items for each class are upgraded first then their secondary gear and other pieces of equipment that won't be replacing in the near future (such as an earring or a cloak). When deciding on which items to upgrade players should be aware of their class's preferred statistics. If Haste and Crit are two of the most important stats for a tank player, then they should upgrade their chest, helm, and shoulders.
When they are no longer useful trinkets are able to be upgraded to a higher level. The new trinket has an additional 1percent bonus. However, a re-upgrade is likely to destroy the old trinket until it is saved using a Black Lion Salvage Kit or an additional salvage tool of higher quality. This makes upgrading trinkets more expensive than other upgrades, but is still less expensive than buying the new one.
